[Announcements] Release: basiclti-2.1.2 (for Sakai 2.9.x)

Release
At the request of UCT, Basiclti 2.1.2 has been released in order to address mixed content blocking encountered when using Firefox 23+. [1]   In the case of BasicLTI 2.1.1 (Sakai 2.9.3), blank pages are returned if a remote launch to an HTTP resource is attempted while running under HTTPS.  Steps that reproduce the issue are provided in SAK-24073. [1]

Change log
BasicLTI 2.1.2 is a "single ticket" maintenance release (SAK-24073) that forces a pop up if an HTTP configured launch is detected.  The relevant fixes (r128861, r128868) were committed to the BasicLTI 2.1.x branch (r128966) on 22 August 2013 shortly after Sakai 2.9.3/BasicLTI 2.1.1 was released.  If you are running Sakai 2.9.3 or an earlier or running off the Sakai 2.9.x/BasicLTI 2.1.x branch prior to r128966 you should consider upgrading to this new release.

BasicLTI 2.1.x is now versioned 2.1.3-SNAPSHOT; the 2.9.x master pom now binds to this version of BasicLTI (r132819).

UCT has tested this release successfully both in a staging and production environment.
