Revised draft with intro narrative:

The Sakai Accessibility Working Group (AWG) is comprised of accessibility experts, student users and Sakai developers from numerous higher education institutions. During our 2.9.0 accessibility review the group evaluated 21 tools for accessibility, filed 125+ new accessibility Jiras, and helped to resolve 56+ new and outstanding accessibility Jira issues. The AWG collaborates with many of the different working groups in the Sakai community to identify and remediate accessibility issues across the Sakai environment. We are closely connected with the Quality Assurance (QA) working group and participate in the Sakai release QA testing process. The biggest accessibility challenges the AWG has resolved for the Sakai 2.9.0 release are:

* Worked with multiple Sakai community groups to push for and achieve the inclusion of the more accessible CKEditor as the default WYSIWYG editor

* Evaluated and achieved significant accessibility improvements to the brand new NeoPortal

* Significantly improved the accessibility of dynamic menus in the resources tool

Below you will find the non-comprehensive list of accessibility improvements for the Sakai 2.9.0 release. For a complete and in-depth analysis of all accessibility improvements to Sakai 2.9.0 visit the Accessibility Working Group's webpage (http://bit.ly/sak-awg).

Hi Joe,

I do think that Gonzalo's narrative fits with the list of fixes and improvements. It's a quick summary of what would be seen if you looked at the list and checked all the Jiras.
