·         Sakai 2.9 Release Info

o   Sakai 2.9 Alpha-01 Tag will be created 9/20/11

o   Requests to deploy Alpha-01 to QA Servers will be sent out shortly after that

·         Sakai 2.9 Accessibility Review Preparation

o   Continue work on walkthrough scripts

§  Go through current walkthrough scripts and update for latest releases

§  Create needed walkthrough scripts:

·         Portal (Does role/persona matter?)

·         Messages (Instructor and Student Personas)

·         CKEditor - Putting it through its paces

·         Assignments (Instructor Persona)

·         Calendar (Instructor and Student Personas)

·         Announcements (Instructor and Student Personas)

·         Drop Box (Instructor and Student Personas)

·         Podcasts (Instructor and Student Personas)

·         Polls (Instructor and Student Personas)

·         Site Info (Instructor and Student Personas)

·         Samigo Test & Quizes (Instructor Persona)

§  What's missing??

o   Send out recruitment / Accessibility Review Announcement

·         CKEditor Accessibility / QA Testing

o   No specific QA Testing script is available for the rich text editor / CKEditor

o   Rob Eagan sent Brian a copy of an example QA test script excel file

o   Plan on consulting with others to discover which tools have special requirements for the rich text editor (deep/rich integration) so these features can be covered in the test scripts. Will begin conversation with Noah, Sam Ottenhoff.

o   SAK-11199 - Drop-down menus don't work with Screen Readers (Global)

§  Sent email requesting advice on how to proceed, got no replies. (http://collab.sakaiproject.org/pipermail/sakai-dev/2011-August/013496.html)

§  Fix identified - needs implemented before 2.9 QA Servers get built

§  Tied fix with fix for SAK-21031

§  Updated Fix to reflect 2.9

o   SAK-20631 - The "Add" and "Action" menus are difficult for screen-reader users to navigate/use in the Drop Box and Resources Tools

§  Need to pick up where Gonzalo and Kiran left off - Brian will start work on this.

§  Got another (very frustrated) student JAWS user complaint on this.
