[sakai2-tcc] Infrastructure discussion for future meeting?

By the way, I would like to give some input to the original question in this thread.

I think there is an infrastructure conversation to be had at some point and we may or may not have the information prepared for a full outline. The needs and options have changed considerably over the years. Let's just suppose that infrastructure amounts to these (potential) things:

1. Source control
2. Issue tracking
3. Collaborative document space
4. Continuous integration
5. Release artifact distribution
6. Realtime communication / teleconferencing
7. General (outreach) web presence for projects / teams
8. Group communication (email / forums)
9. Internationalization contribution tools

We have something for all of these except #9 (see Launchpad [1][2][3] for an example). This is not to say that each is perfect, but I agree that our situation is not urgently deficient. So, I think we're at a fine point for looking at our current infrastructure and seeing if we're missing opportunities or have unspoken difficulties.

Thanks,
-Noah

Fortunately, this is an area I'm not seeing anything that is critical and urgent, but it is important. Perhaps planning now we can avoid urgent/panic issues in the future or just improve the overall experience of Sakaiger wannabees who depend upon our information and systems to implement Sakai effectively.
