The final voting results were

11 - Yes
02 - Neutral
03 - Did not vote

So the motion of

*barring any new blockers against 2.9.x*, we release Sakai 2.9.0 on Friday,
November 9.

Was passed by majority with no dissent.

If blockers are found by QA in the next 2 days, we'll use the next
available release date. Otherwise an email will be sent out to the
appropriate channels notifying on the release after it's completed Friday.
