Beth,
Just a quick thanks to you for taking the time to speak with the Board, I
and the others on the Board see these interactions and dialogs as being
very important and valuable. I personally would like to see these
continue on a regular basis and be something that the new Foundation (post
the merger with Jasig) does as well.
I thought I would also just mention that one general topic that I think is
particularly important to surface to the Board are any area of "risk"
(such as the release team issue) that the TCC sees for the
community/product. Although the Board does not have any magic bullets
which can easily resolve these issues, they can help work towards
mitigating these risks over time.
Thanks again,
Josh

Subject: [sakai2-tcc] TCC Meeting with Sakai Board
Sent by: sakai2-tcc-bounces at collab.sakaiproject.org
Hi everyone,
On September 20th (last week), Ian Dolphin invited myself (representing
the TCC/CLE) and David Goodrum (representing OAE) to provide a 10 minute
update to the Sakai Board. I wanted to provide a quick summary of what was
discussed, and will try to be more proactive about soliciting topics for
discussion the next time an update to the board is requested.
I covered three basic topics:
1) The status of Anthony's transition from CLE to OAE
2) An overview of the recent voting for Sakai 2.9
features
3) The status of the Sakai 2.0 release, noting that the
new release team did pose a risk to the schedule.
Thanks,
- Beth
