[sakai2-tcc] DISCUSS: Tool Promotions & Deprecations for 2.9: News Feeds

At the LA Project Coordination Meetings the News Feeds tool was proposed for the 2.9 release as a core tool alternative to the News Tool, and at the same time, the current News tool would be deprecated. The News Feeds tool is currently a (ufp) contrib tool and would need to be migrated to the Sakai repository in order to be included in the Sakai 2.9 release. I'd like to put it to a vote next week, but please share any concerns or questions now. I've pasted previous comments on the News Feeds tool below.

Thanks,
- Beth
