Hi all,
I created issue SAK-15037 on 05-Dec-2008 02:49.
On 09-Sep-2009 06:25 I was told it was the same issue as SAK-12351.
While I've been busy with local work, I took time to provide my way to
solve this on 21-Sep-2010 06:05 before the 2.8.x branch creation.
This fix, already in 2.8, provides in config a bundle directory for
shared L10n strings with matching class working the same way as config's
localization with a more global purpose. Sample L10n strings are
provided for a default 'Help' string.
The goal is to provide stable shared L10n strings to avoid duplication
and to ease translation. Each tool is now able to use provided shared
strings instead of duplicating them.
I now want to leverage this in MT code by finding and sharing duplicate
strings before the String Freeze at the beginning of next month.
My first try at this is the fix committed for SAK-16738 which I would
like to be merged into 2.8.x. I've convinced Anthony some time ago, and
was quite busy since, but don't want this to be done without telling
both MT and TCC.
Please consider this a late update for recent MT work I've done.
Questions and support or criticism are welcome.
I'm betting on lazy consensus with some support.
Cheers,
J-F
