Ugh. I've tested Citations before, of course. Not sure where my brain went to.

I just tried the Sakai Resource Picker on Longsight QA10 and it worked fine for me. Can you provide steps to reproduce?

Citations Lists are found in Resources: Add menu. The facility is on QA10. (BTW I notice the Sakai Resource Picker option doesn’t work at all.)

It seems in principle like it would be nicer to fix this than remove it, if that was possible. (disclaimer, I'm not a user of the tool so my opinion may not count for much.)

I don't see Citations listed in the Sakai Tools Survey (it's a core tool, correct?).

We've just had a query from our user (!) about the sorting options that are offered when building a reading list.



If you select "Reorder" from the "Citations Actions" menu then you can drag and drop the items  into a custom order. This is the order that the students will see.



What I'm not sure about is the RHS box where you change the ordering on screen



1/ sort by first author doesn't seem to do anything (and is always displayed onscreen)



2/ “sort by position" is awful terminology but basically means use the order defined by the "reading list owner"



3/ Sort by published year / title seem to work but



4/ what does Save Sort do? Regardless of any setting / sorts saved, the student always seems to see the list in order of "position".



I would propose that the whole RHS "Sort By" option is removed. Does anybody have an opinion on this?
