Sakai allows one to create files and folders in Resources with special characters in them which make them illegal to access or download in Windows.
I am not sure about Macintosh, but I think that such illegal and meta-characters are problematic also in Linux.
Shouldn't Sakai disallow such characters in file and folder names, at least when created through its tools? If a user uses WebDav direct access to the file system, then I'm not sure how Sakai could enforce this.
(We had a faculty create such, and it took him some time to get the error reports from students and find the problem.)
