[Using Sakai] Problems with ampersands in Assignment Titles with Turnitin and the Gradebook

We are running Sakai 2.9.3 with Assignments 1 have found that putting an ampersand character in the assignment title prevents the Turnitin integration from working properly.  It cannot create the assignment in the Turnitin system and an error is created.

In addition if one edits the assignment, it no longer will put the grades in the gradebook.
It is solved by the tips I found in this Jira https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-22851
It seems like this issue is still in progress.  Perhaps something that just flags an & when user types in the title or even a message in the interface.
