Keli Amann from Stanford is keen to get the patch into 2.10 or should I say Sakai 10. She will have a later patch that the one attached to the JIRA, presumably a 2.9 patch.

As you will see from the ticket, https://github.com/ox-it/wl-calendar/commits/sakai-2.8.x<https://github.com/ox-it/wl-calendar/commits/sakai-2.8.x%20has%20a%202.8> has a 2.8 patch for this issue. NB you also need to apply https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-25259

It's a truly great feature which I hope will make it into Sakai 10.

Adam

Hi,

I have no idea if we are running that code. I sure haven't patched it though. We have recently upgraded to 2.9.x and before that we had 2.7.x. and I know that we had Calendar export working then. The patch you pointed to is it stable, its unresolved? And it looks that it is for 2.6.1?

Are you running this patch https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-21497 ? If not you will not get events from other merged calendars.

Hi,

Our problem is export of the calendar (calendar.subscribe) from "my workspace" where it's not working to get events from other merged calenders into a ical-export. See below to reproduce.
Does anyone have any suggestion here?

I think we may be talking at cross purposes here. I am talking about: https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-21497 "Subscribing to private calendars", I suspect you are speaking about exporting a calendar, ie, making a calendar public.

We have totally different labels for the links at the top of the calendar page which is where I think I was getting confused. Many apologies if I did get muddled.

Hi,

Its not working for me, and no bug report. To reproduce:

1. Add an event on a site that's mine.

2. I have "show other calenders" clicked in the Calendar tool.

3. I click on Export and write a name and enables subscription and saves.

4. Again I click on export and I cut out the URL.

5. When I import it into Outlook 2010 I only get the events from the Calendar from my workspace and not other events from other sites.

If I don't have any events in my Calendar from my workspace Calendar (but several events from other Calendars) I get a zero size Calendar.

Sorry, I missed the second question.

If you subscribe to the Private URL of your My Workspace calendar then you should get a feed that includes the calendars from all the sites that you are a member of. This is certainly what happens here at Oxford. Am I misunderstanding your question?

Ok, I will look into the fix. thank you Adam!
The other problem still remains though. You can't get events from other site Calendars that you have merged on your workspace. Or is it my settings (maybe wrong setting in realms?) that's wrong?

SAK-25259<https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-25259> fixes this. I think this bug may have inadvertently been added when we did the 'Private URLs' work.

Sorry!

Hi,

I have spotted some possible bugs in Calendar tool. We have 2.9.x.
To re-produce:

1. Choose subscription (export)

2. Save the URL and make a webcals link.

If you only have events from other sites and not from your workspace schedule you get 0 bytes size here and the calendar wont work.

Maybe there should be some kind of warning about this? Shouldn't you be able to make a ics-file of calendars from other sites from here also?
