[Using Sakai] multiple logins?

I find that I am logged into a Sakai session, but when I click on a URL link on the front-page, it again requires a login to access that page, even though it is an internal Sakai link;    http://xxx.edu/access/content/group/028fa.../Lesson%20schedule.htm .

Is this proper? Seems unnecessary.

Also, when I click on that link, it downloads the .htm file, instead of rendering it, somehow the resource file type was set to binary - now corrected, but not sure how it got sets wrong.
