[Using Sakai] Post partum !site.template.type application?

Hello,

A site was created from a new type before the corresponding 
!site.template.type was created. There are no users registered in the 
site, but lots of content and configuration. Is there a way to apply the 
new template to the old site. That's to say, any way to copy the roles 
from the new template to the old site?
