This is absolutely fantastic! Great work and congratulations to all involved!

The parent/auditor function is excellent too. I had an idea for this a while back: https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-19059 as we have people interested in using Sakai in primary education.

Is there any chance this can be contributed back? Especially the parent/child function.

cheers,
Steve

This web interface (is not native) shows only the basic tools of sakai in a very simple way to be used for children with a tactile interface. The aim of the project is to use Sakai for children in Hospitals and allow them to continue the learning in their rooms with a tactile dispositive.

There are several hospitals using a tactile screen for each bed with a lot of services, one of them can be this one. If Hospital don’t have those screens can use tablets as seen in the video.

Those users are “student-related” so they can view the work done by their son but not the work done by other students (this is new in Sakai and in general in LMS’s, the “individual watcher user”). You can define in this Sakai a hierarchy of users with parents and sons. We have done other tools as “notes” tool where teacher can add information about the students and select if parents can read it or not.
