That sounds very interesting - this is exactly what I was looking for.  The
next step is to allow write access a la Google Calendars but I admit that is
far more complex (esp. the security model).

If it was too late for 2.9 which is scheduled for Q1 2012, then does that
mean it will make 2.10 toward end 2012?

How complex is it to apply it to 2.8.0?
