[Using Sakai] Calendar Subscriptions

Wow, Adam, thanks for working on this and letting us know (and Warwick, thanks for asking the question)! Just yesterday, our team was talking about the current Subscribe feature and security issues we'd have with it. We'd like to make schedule information available outside of Sakai, so people can see academic events in their personal calendars. I will forward this on to my team and someone (more technical than I) will probably be in contact with you to check this out.

One can always subscribe to public calendars, the main issue with this is that 



1/ the calendar must be exported 



2/ there is no way that a student can find out the URL of the ical feed. 



If you mean subscribe to a NON-PUBLIC calendar then we have just finished some code that will allow this. When I say just … I mean like yesterday. 



Here’s the help guide. 



We can supply the code upon request and will be adding a patch to jira in due course. It’s a shame it didn’t quite make it for 2.9
