[Using Sakai] What is the relation parent-child between sites for?

Rafael,

Here is some documentation with images:

https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn/reference/trunk/docs/architecture/sakai_pseudo_hierarchy.doc

The basic idea is that you link sites together from the child upward to the parent. When in a parent site - the child sites are listed like tools on the left hand side - and when in a child site, a breadcrumb pops up in the portal showing context.

It is much easier to use in 2.8 because there is a tool in Site Info that makes the links for you. You can play with that on nightly2.sakaiproject.org
