[Using Sakai] Adding wysiwyg editor to essay responses

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has added the wysiwyg editor  to essay 
responses? I saw a jira issue about this topic and want to find out the 
outcome. Was this case closed because it wasn't supported or was an 
option added to sakai?
