Hi Carla,
Selenium has never been required for Sakai QA but it can be useful.
Selenium can be used in fundamentally two different ways, I believe. One
way is that it can be an automated testing system. We do not have that
option. The other way is to have your own Selenium scripts, using the
plug-in for Firefox, that you can run to configure a site for testing.
There was a "flipped" presentation on using Selenium scripts at the Open
Apereo conference. The materials are still available at
https://sites.google.com/site/seleniumideforqa/home
