Hi All,

Just to broaden the group a bit more (not sure if Dev has seen this). Please help test ASAP if you can - qa29.longsight.com. By Friday evening.

Several blocker bugs have been identified in the last couple of days. They have already been fixed, tested in trunk, and tested in 2.9.x (RC04) ! But it would be nice to get some additional testing/re-testing and "sanity checking" of the release, which is up on https://qa29.longsight.com/

https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-23639 - Webdav issue, data loss involved.

https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-23395 - neo-portal issue .

https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/KNL-1081 - dropbox quota issue.

I have created an "RC04" test log, which you can optionally use - http://bit.ly/14VIVsn

But the gist of it is this:

1) Test WebDav. Use the basic regression script -
Access a Sakai site with WebDav on your Mac or PC
Copy files to the site using WebDav
Delete a file from the site using WebDav
Moving a file from one folder to another
Renaming a file
Renaming a folder

The bug was in renaming a file or folder or moving a file from one folder to another. You need to make sure that your tool for WebDav does not do copies first before moving files. Some do, some don't. Evidently, Cyberduck is a good choice and what I used.

2) Dropbox quota was not being enforced.

You can set a quota by
a) going to your site and grabbing the URL with the site id, so you can navigate directly to it.
b) Logging out and logging back in as admin and navigating to the site
c) next to a student's Dropbox choose Actions -> Edit Details and set the quota and Update
d) log in as that student and try uploading files bigger than the quota (expected fail) and below the quota (expected success).

3) Do your own sanity checking of the environment.

So far everything is looking good to me, but it would be helpful to get other eyeballs on it. If you don't find any problems, email me at nealcaidin at sakaifoundation.org, so we know you tested . If you do find a problem, post to list and/or the relevant Jira.

Thanks!!!
