Hello all,

It is time to get started on the Test Fest for Sakai CLE 2.9.0-rc01 : Release Candidate 01.

Starting: Now
Ending: Wednesday, October 3, 9:00 am - 12 pm Eastern, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm GMT (Adobe Connect session available during this time. Thanks Unicon, for providing this virtual space.)

Purpose: Find bugs and report them.

Focus: Regression testing of various tools and functions. Not as much emphasis on testing bug fixes (due to the terrific effort from the last round of testing. Thank you!)

Test Fest instructions and sign up - http://bit.ly/2012octtestfest
Open new issues as sub-tickets of - https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-22683

Please note, if you are an experienced tester and prefer to do Ad Hoc testing instead of using a script, there is an Ad Hoc Testing page just for you.

Some tools have scripts (aka - a list of steps for performing the testing), others do not. Tools for regression testing:

Gradebook - testing scripts available, may not be complete
Gradebook calculations - new updated scripts
Gradebook with Groups - no scripts available
Test & Quizzes (aka Samigo) - updated scripts available
Adding and removing users from a site - simple task
Resources - scripts available
Polls - scripts available
Lessons - scripts available
Page Order Helper - scripts available

For questions please contact nealcaidin at sakaifoundation.org or post to the QA group - sakai-qa at collab.sakaproject.org

Thanks and have a great weekend!
