[WG: Sakai QA] Test Fest - 2.9.0 Release Candidate 3 !

Hi all,

Release candidate 03, Sakai CLE 2.9.0-rc03 (RC03) , is available for testing through Wednesday, November 7 at 5 pm Eastern/ 10 pm GMT.

Why:  Because if RC03 passes testing and if the TCC (Technical Coordinator Committee) approves, this will be re-cut as the production release this week!

When: testing through Wednesday, Nov 7 at 5 pm Eastern Standard ( 10 pm GMT)

How: The usual - Google doc at http://bit.ly/rc03testfest . Please look at the Worksheet tabs - there is a sign up tab, an instructions tab, and tabs for what needs testing.  We are also keeping the Test Fest Confluence space up-to-date in case you lose these emails :-) - https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/QA/2.9+Test+Fest

What:  We are mostly focusing on Regression testing. Little or no Jira testing. Feel free to do Ad Hoc testing if you don't have time to use the test scripts. We could use as many eyes as possible trying to find bugs in 2.9.0. Extra testing is requested for Profile2 and Lessons. Anything you can do will help. If you are not sure where to put the results of your testing, email me the results (not ideal, but will do for now) - nealcaidin at sakaifoundation.org . 

Special Notes: No Adobe Connect session this week, and my availability to answer questions is limited and sporadic, due to Educause. I'll do my best to respond. I also suggest emailing the QA email group with your questions, and perhaps also the Dev group.
