[WG: Sakai QA] Next 2.8 RC tag and IE 9 testing

Hi fellow hard workers,



By either tomorrow or at the latest Monday the next RC tag for 2.8 will be deployed to QA servers. This is pretty near to the final release and has a significant improvement for IE 9 donated by UMICH. The patch, a meta tag in the HTTP response header making IE9 behave in IE8 compatibility mode allowing some features to work in IE9 that would not otherwise.



I would suggest when ever possible, please test using IE 9 when this tag is deployed, before that please do not.
