SOFTWARE UPGRADE

Confluence was upgraded to version 3.4.5 in the early hours of 2011.

SSL CERTS APPLIED

Both Jira and Confluence now operate under SSL. HTTP requests (e.g., http://jira.sakaiproject.org, http://confluence.sakaiproject.org) will be redirected to HTTPS (e.g., https://jira.sakaiproject.org, https://confluence.sakaiproject.org).

Earlier in the morning we encountered "untrusted" certificate warnings when clicking on Jira/Confluence links embedded in email. After a bit of Googling I suggested to Wush that they needed to update their intermediate CA. This appears to have fixed the issue.

TODO FOR ME

The DNS record for confluence.sakaiproject.org needs to point to a new IP. The request to update the DNS record has been made to the UMich hostmaster but it is unlikely that the record will updated until Monday. Until then Wush will proxy Confluence from the old location.

TODO FOR YOU

Nothing other than enjoying your weekend and, if necessary, reporting any issues to me that you encounter either with the Confluence upgrade or the application of the SSL certs.

Happy New Year,

Anthony
