[WG: Sakai QA] trunk/trunk-experimental update: contrib IMS basiclti available via -Pexperimental profile

I spent an afternoon on Chuck Severance's Sakai/iMS BasicLTI portlet  
contrib project, replumbing its poms, adding a Maven assembly and  
tweeking source folder and package names to ready it for a future  
release using the Maven release plugin.  I've deployed a set of  
BasicLTI 1.0-SNAPSHOT artifacts to the snapshot repo.  I've also  
created a Jira project to track issues.

SAY WHAT?

What is the BasicLTI portlet you ask?  The Sakai BasicLTI portlet  
implements the IMS Basic Learning Tools Interoperability draft  
specification.  BasicLTI operates as an external tool/content proxy,  
providing contextual information and a launch endpoint for tools/ 
content external to Sakai.  It uses standard protocols including the  
OAuth (www.oauth.net) security mechanism.  BasicLTI also permits a  
“federated single-sign-on” using in-browser REST-style launching and  
allows an externally-hosted tool to support a variety of LMSs with a  
single instance of the external tool or resource.

DEPLOY IT

The portlet is now available for evaluation and testing by activating  
the -Pexperimental profile after checking out Sakai trunk or the sakai- 
trunk-experimental branch (the latter branch is simply a snapshot of  
trunk taken at a known revision point, currently trunk -r67919).

mvn -Pexperimental clean install sakai:deploy

QA SERVER ADMINS

QA admins deploying the trunk-experimental branch (trunk -r67919)  
should perform a fresh checkout of the branch before deploying it to  
Tomcat.
