Hi all,

David pointed me to: http://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-16745

I tested the work around suggested by Martin Smith, by adding 
-Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax=true to the tomcat server startup script and the problems appears to go away.

I would recommend this for M2 QA deployment. I am hoping this will go away by M3.

I'd forgotten to switch qa1-za to java 1.6. It seems a number of tools
don't run if built under 1.6. You get an error like:

I saw a similar problem on another build with T&Q last week so the
problem may extend to other tools.
