[sakai-pmc] Negative feedback about Sakai

Hi PMC,

On the Apereo Twitter account we received the following tweet:

"Sakai is an interaction design nightmare. What were you thinking with that
impossible "Move" function? #courseprephell"

>From what I have read/heard, it is a good idea to respond to negative
tweets in a positive, authentic and open way. I expect if we are
successful in expanding our social media presence we are likely to see more
of these kinds of tweets and comments. First question, what is the best
response for the tweet? I assume he means the Move function on Resources
(because I cannot think of any other area with a Move). Does that sound
right? If so, I'm surprised he considers Move a nightmare, because to me
it seems pretty reasonable (though, I'm sure that there are better ways).

My inclination would be a clarifying tweet:

@OmizoRM Our open source volunteer community appreciates the feedback. To
be clear, do you mean the Move function in Resources?

This will likely set off some back and forth. The tone I would go for is
thanking for input and giving examples of areas we are trying to improve
user interface, or perhaps point out that we have been improving in
Resources over time, with drag and drop as the prime example. Sound good?

Worth noting that this came in through ApereoOrg and not SakaiProject
twitter account.

Second question would be if it would be feasible to have a small team to
monitor and respond to positive and negative tweets? The volume I would not
expect to be high. At a minimum it would be good to have at least one
backup to me, but also getting several folks brainstorming on best
responses could be useful.

Thanks,
Neal
