My apologies as I've realized that I posted information about this call to
the PMC list but then failed to follow up with dial in and agenda
information in case there were folks who wanted to participate but had not
replied back (although I also left off Scott and Sean who did, sorry!). No
pressure, but if were planning on participating in the call tonight the
information below should be useful.

Sakai Strategic Communication Project Conference Call

Colleagues,

My thanks as well to everyone who has offered to provide feedback and be
involved in this new effort.

Dial-in information, for those who can join the call today, is below (as
well as on the agenda Mark shared). As Mark has also noted, this will be
somewhat of an initial orientation call for the students who are picking
up work that was initially done earlier in the fall by another group of
students who were also working under Mark's supervision and guidance. It
will be particularly helpful to them to get your input and thoughts on
communication needs for Sakai as well as feedback on the research reports
that were done earlier in the fall that will form the basis for a final
communication plan that the current group will be developing. Mark has
attached materials to his original email that will provide overviews of
these research reports.

DIAL-IN INFORMATION (call will take place from 7 PM to 8 PM Eastern Time)
Primary Dial-In: 719-387-1138 (or if you need toll-free within the US
888-447-7153)
Passcode: 917798

I do realize that not everyone on this email will be able to make this
call and again recognize that the time we had to select to accommodate the
student's schedules has prevent some of our international colleagues from
joining. I am working with Mark to provide access through the Open
Academic Environment (OAE), which he and the students have been using this
semester, to additional written materials that those who cannot be on this
call can review and comment on. We'll update the group when access to
these materials is completed (some may already have access).

Talk with everyone later today,

Josh

Subject: Suggested Agenda For Nov. 12 Sakai Strategic Communication
Project Conference Call

Dear Colleagues,

To help you prepare for Wednesday night's conference call (November 12,
7:00-8:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, US) regarding Marist's Sakai
Strategic Communication Project, I have attached a proposed agenda for the
call with a list of expected participants. Out of respect for your busy
schedules, I'm offering the agenda as a suggestion to make best use of our
time together. I'm open to any changes that you might propose.

I am also attaching two preliminary proposals produced by graduate
students in an integrated marketing communication course that just ended;
and I'm sharing the following private link to a VoiceThread video produced
by one of the teams to present its proposal to you:

http://voicethread.com/share/6086650/

Graduate students in my current organizational communication course are
integrating these proposals in work they are doing to produce a more fully
developed strategic communication proposal for Sakai, which is due by
December 19. Interns and undergraduate students are also working on
surveys to support this project. Several of these students and interns
will be on the call to report their progress and accept your feedback and
guidance.

Thanks to Josh Baron for arranging this call. We are grateful for the time
you are taking to be with us. What we learn from each other during the
call will be of great value to the development of this project.

Sincerely,
Mark
