Starting today, PMC members are encouraged to nominate candidates for the
PMC Chair and Vice-chair positions. Nominations, including
self-nominations, should be offered publicly on the sakai-pmc list.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, 2 May 2014 11:59:59 UTC.
Elections for contested positions will be held Monday-Wednesday, 5-7 May
2014. Per our rules, if a nominee runs unopposed she/he can be declared
elected without the formalities of a private formal vote. [1]
The PMC Chair and Vice-chair each serve for a period of 12 months, with the
new term commencing 1 July 2014. [2]

PMC members elected to either position coordinate PMC activities,
facilitate discussions, oversee voting on proposals and serve as the
(initial) PMC point of contact with other groups and constituencies.

Nominations for the Chair and Vice-chair positions are now open.

Cheers,

Anthony
