[Building Sakai] UserID with no spaces nor special characters

Hi All,

I'm running Sakai 10.3 and have found that the USER ID can include spaces and
special characters.

How can we, if possible, control which characters can be included
in the UserID field?

At least, can we have a user ID with no spaces?
