Thank you for you answer. I don’t believe increasing the memory will change something. My heap was at 6gb out of 10gb when that happens.
Any other thought?
Nicholas

Objet : Re: [Building Sakai] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread
I have a problem with my sakai environnement here. It crash sometime with this error : java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread.
From what I read on the web I might need to increase that parameter : -XX:ThreadStackSize
I don't think ThreadStackSize is relevant. I think you can either increase the memory allocated or figure out why your are running out of memory by analyzing a heap dump with Eclipse MAT.
Have you ever had that kind of problem?
Yes, Sakai can run out of memory.
Do you know how to fix or monitor java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread?
First you need to figure out why you went OOM by analyzing a heap dump.
Do you think I should increase -XX:ThreadStackSize.
No
