Hello Igor,

I am also interested in this issue.

How can we add other roles with their description to that page?

For example, we want to add the Coordinayor Coordinator role in project sites, along with its description.

Thank you.
Alaa

You are right, KNL-1022 was not commited. But we applied its patch in 2.9.2 and it worked for us. The patch removes some hardcoded values that are set in database.

Reading my notes, after applying the patch and deploying Kernel, it was also needed to launch this SQL to remove the existing values:

update SAKAI_REALM_ROLE_DESC set DESCRIPTION=null where DESCRIPTION is not null;

And the issue dissapeared in our platform. Of course, I can not assure that this is still working on 10.2. You should try it in a test server.

Hope it helps.
Best regards.

Hi Igor,

I think that this issue is solved in https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/KNL-1022

Best regards.

Hi!

In the Site Info tool,
there is a description of the roles

If I have the site type course this description is always in English – not translated.
Instructor
Can read, revise, delete and add both content and participants to a site.

Student
Can read content, and add content to a site where appropriate.

Teaching Assistant
Can read, add, and revise most content in their sections.

If I use the Site type project
It is translated
Описание ролей
access
Может читать содержимое и добавлять контент на сайт, где это необходимо.

maintain
Может читать, изменять, удалять и добавлять, как контент сайта, так и его участников.

What and where is necessary to add to get the text for the course site in other language?
Kind regards
Igor
