[Building Sakai] - Executing a Perl Script

Hi

I am trying to execute a Perl script from with Sakai using the Web 
Content tool.  Every time I click the link it tries to download the file 
instead of executing the script.

The Perl handler was installed for the server.  Do I need to change 
anything within the Sakai installation in order to execute the script 
properly.

The script is use for authenticating purposes against an external data 
source for research purposes.

We are currently running Sakai 2.9.3.
