[Building Sakai] tomcat 7 threads maxing out , freezing Sakai instance

Thanks everyone for the input. We finally tracked down the code we deployed recently that was not closing connections.

Okay, good find.  It is indeed a huge relief to find a bug like this.  If this is community code or contrib code, please share your findings.  If it's custom code, good job finding the issue!
