Here's a band aid fix I found about a month ago:
As admin:
1. use Sites tool, click on the the site
2. Click pages
3. Click on the page associated with Wiki
4. Click Tools
5. Under Configuration, notice the the "home-page" property is set to
"Home". Change it to something else, like "Home1"
The instructor should now have a fresh home page with which the comments
are not associated.
However, the 'Home' page and all the comments associated with it will
still exist in the database.
