[Building Sakai] Deleting multiple gradebook items in Gradebook

At the University of Virginia, we are using the default Gradebook in 
Sakai 2.9.1. We've had several recent requests to delete multiple 
gradebook items at once (in sites that have been duplicated from another 
site).

Before we embark on developing this feature request, we wondered if 
anyone else in the Sakai community is working on or already has a 
solution for this that you can share with us?
