[Building Sakai] New tool creation questions

Good day,

We are in the process of developing a new tool. Some of the examples
referenced in the Programmer's Cafe are no longer pointing to valid data.

The tasklist-complex sample tool is returning a 404 can anyone advise where
to get the said sample code?

The documentation also seems to indicate that the documentation was valid
for version 2.2 of Sakai.

Is there any documentation which is up to date (2.9.x)?
