[Building Sakai] Exporting/importing contents with the Lesson Builder tool

How are you exporting and importing? 

The normal approach for copying between two sites uses duplicate site or import content from site in Site Info. This should preserve everything in Lessons.

I conjecture that you are using Common Cartridge export and import. Unfortunately the Common Cartridge format is a “lowest common denominator” approach, which does not preserve all aspects of the lesson. In particular, Common Cartridge has no way to specify that at item should be shown inline rather than as a link. So this is the best I can do given the format.

I’ve considered making an extension to the format. Unfortunately the format isn’t really designed to support extension, so changing it is technically a violation of the spec. I may end up doing it anyway, as an option the user can request, but probably not for Sakai 10.
