[Building Sakai] Status of Session replication in 10

What is the status of the new session replication feature?
I've read about setting up the terracotta at https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/BOOT/Sakai+Terracotta+distributed+caching+setup

Anyone using the session replication caching in production?
