[Building Sakai] SAM-2215

Hi Miguel, cc'ing the samigo-team list,
2.9 does not officially support IE10, so those users might have to use compatibility mode. We didn't do any testing on Samigo 2.9 using this browser or on windows 8, and our tech support only got windows 8 yesterday. I note, though, that someone just commented on your jira to say this isn't unique to IE10 (9 also has this problem).

We can certainly bring up this bug during our next Samigo Working Group meeting (next Tuesday, 10/1) and discuss IE10 in general. I see that there is one other issue that pops up for samigo during a search on ie10, SAM-2200. Maybe during our QA process (bug bashes, anyone?) we can ask people to use IE10 on new features and do a regression with it.

However, the more basic question I hope someone will chime in on is whether there is an intent for Sakai CLE to support Windows 8 and IE10 with a 2.10 release? I certainly see bugs being filed and resolved when I search "windows 8" and "ie8" but it's not clear if these are being found randomly by end users, or if there is an active effort to do testing on ie10.

Can anyone confirm this?

Lots of users are experiencing this issue while doing assessments.

Environment: Sakai 2.9.3

Thank you, Miguel.
