[Building Sakai] Lesson Builder import from site not working in sakai 2.9

Hi All,
We are using Lesson Builder  113710 and it is from the lessonbuilder-1.4.x branch, we are having issues getting the content to transfer from one site to another when using the import function. We tried setting up a single module in the new site and tried the import and that too failed.
Duplicating the site works in transferring the content but our setup does not allow for that process for moving content forward only sys admins can duplicate sites all others use the import from site to move content forward.
Any advice on this will help us immensely.
