I would also like to see a solution to this problem.
As it affects us when users use shared question pools.

OK, right now I have seen that your patch replaces the resources in "/access/content/group/" but not in "/access/content/attachment/".

So we can't use it. Still wondering how to solve this...

Hi, Paul.

I have seen your patch at SAM-1596 and it could be useful for us, as it only affects Samigo pools.

However, you say there that it is up to the users to duplicate the resources from the old site to the new one.

I wonder: how can users access to attachments in site's private resources to copy them? Do you copy these resources for them?

I have also tested that the option "import from site", when Test & Quizzes and Resources are selected, replaces URLs in tests to use the copied content. However, attachments are not copied neither replaced. If somebody has some local patch that fix this, I would love to take a look on it.

Thanks.
Best regards.

You're correct. This custom will not work unless there is an expectation for the image files to be duplicated to the site where the assessment is published. This works well at our institution, but I understand this won't work for everyone.

It might be a bit dated but here's the Jira with patch: https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAM-1596

Let me know if you have questions. Good luck!

Thanks for your answer, Paul.

Is your custom published anywhere? I would like to take a look on it.

Changing the site id in the URL only works if the images are copied in the new site. Does your patch duplicate them automatically? I'm not sure if this could be a solution for us, maybe it is a change too wide.

I think that every organization that uses the new MathML editor are going to suffer this issue when their users create equations in their question pools. Any other idea?

Thanks.
Best regards.

We did a local custom that works under the assumption that if a user publishes an assessment that references images from a site's resources, then those images are expected to be in the site where the assessment is published. This includes pool questions.

Under the hood, the custom executes a find and replace on the site id's within the url of the image reference. Obviously, this is not a universal solution but it resulted in less confusion on our campus as we have a general practice of duplicating sites forward from term to term.

Hi everybody.

I would like to know how people out there manage the next issue.

Samigo's pools are linked to their owner users, so they can use them in
any of their sites. However, when one user edits a question in some pool
and adds an attachment, this attachment is managed as usual and it is
placed in site's private resources.

This causes that these attachments are not visible to users unless the
user edits the pool in the same site he plans to make the test.

This has not been a big issue for us before, because users usually
upload their images to Resources and link them from there, so they can
set their visibility. However, the new MathML editor places equations as
attachments ( https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-23686 ), so now
we have some complaints of failed tests.

There is a related JIRA at https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAM-2193

I think that a possible fix would be that Samigo would make a copy of
every attachment when generating a test from a pool.

But I wonder if there is some workaround possible with the current
platform. Any thought?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
