[Building Sakai] Oracle Exadata

Hi,

Here at the University or Western Ontario we are considering the
purchase of an Oracle Exadata server to run our Oracle databases. We
have PeopleSoft applications for HE, HR and Finance as well as Sakai
2.9.2 running. My concern is with the Sakai environment. We currently
use a Oracle T3 server and Solaris 10. Does anyone have any experience
with Sakai running on Exadata?

Exadata is a Linux based machine. I assume Oracle Linux 6. I don't see
that as a problem. The Exadata server uses Oracle RAC as a standard. I
have found older posts that have described issues with Oracle RAC. Does
anyone have any recent issues or successes using RAC? We have seen
issues with row lock contention and deadlocks in our current environment.

Thanks,
Blake Wilson
