Hi,
The sitestats tool takes the events from those 2 tables and agreagates them in in its own tables. So yes I would advise daily cleaning of SAKAI_SESSION & SAKAI_EVENTS but this has no effect on sitestats

Dear All,
We have been having issues with the stats tool. The database records grow very fast with the events being logged in the SAKAI_EVENTS table and the SAKAI_SESSION table. So we have been doing a cleanup of the database every night, and have seen quite an increase in the perfomance of SAKAI since.
We, however, would like to know if there is a better approach to this. Keeping these stats in the database, but still being able to not have performance issues?
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,
