[Building Sakai] Entity Broker - REST getEntities - URL longer than max limit allowed

Yes. Don't try to convert it to EntityData or you will shortcircuit the
processing (it assumes you must know what you are doing and skips some of
the logic).

Change the code to be this (or something similar):

@EntityCustomAction(action = "activitiesHistoryElements", viewKey =
EntityView.VIEW_NEW)****

 public *ActionReturn* getActivitiesHistoryElements() {

            return new ActionReturn(myList);

 }****

Not sure where myList comes from in your case but something like this is
what you want.
