[Building Sakai] error message from webDAv

We often see a message at the end of a webdav transfer saying something along the lines of "Error one or more files could not be copied", when we check we discover there has not been a problem at all. The last time we saw this was using the standard Windows XP client copying a 350MB file.

Here's the lines from the apache log file

[Mon Jun 10 16:55:27 2013] [error] (104)Connection reset by peer: ajp_ilink_receive() can't receive header
[Mon Jun 10 16:55:27 2013] [error] ajp_read_header: ajp_ilink_receive failed
[Mon Jun 10 16:55:27 2013] [error] (120006)APR does not understand this error code: proxy: read response failed from 10.1.20.36:8009 (worker-4.staging.sakai.app-0.man.sysdev.tld)

Has anybody managed to configure apache to get rid of the above problem and hence remove the error message?
