[Building Sakai] Changing how e-mails sending mechanism works

Hello there.

 

Im new to Sakai development and ive been requested to do a little tryout on
how e-mails work for sakai. Many sakai e-mails are getting as a SPAM e-mai,
so i want to try to batch those e-mails into a single e-mail when sending
e-mails to studants. However, im not sure the Best way to do this. 

 

  Would it be possible to create a Sakai Module to do that ? For instance,
e-mails sent from "announces" would read my module to send the e-mail
instead the standard module that does it. It this somehow possible ?
