[Building Sakai] Integrating a Third-Party System using API / LTI

I am part of a new company that has built an analytics tool to help schools
manage student retention. The system was built by a Canvas user, so we've
successfully integrated our system with Canvas and are now looking to do so
with other learning management systems. We make nightly API calls to
Canvas, pull a number of data elements, run the data through an algorithm,
then create a dashboard. Using LTI integration, we make the dashboard
available within the LMS; there are links within the dashboard that can take
users into the appropriate pages of the LMS. We have paying customers today
and are now getting requests from schools that use another LMS besides
Canvas.

We would like to begin work on integrating with Sakai in this method. I am
looking for advice on how to begin and whether there is any documentation
available to guide us. I'm not the technical guy in the group but am
working to get them pointed in the right direction.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.
