[Building Sakai] Profile 2 - twiterAuthLink - SSL problems

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently upgraded our environment to be SSL enabled, but after doing a regression testing we’ve noticed that the Twitter integration in Profile2 was not working.
I’ve found a similar issue in the Sakai Jira https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/PRFL-603 but we are not that keen in implementing the solution. We are not that fond
In adding the certificate in the JRE folder on each new tomcat instance that we add.

So is there an alternative to this? Can Profile2 be configured to look for the certificate somewhere in the Tomcat home directory (like the sakai folder in the tomcat)?
